is Samples. I really cannot do this even
in a bookstore on a large scale. Reading samples of many books is
allowing me to go far beyond my normal scope of books. I normally stick
with 2-3 genres of literature outside of self-help, since having the
Kindle a few weeks I am considering, and buying, many more books than I
would normally consider.
After collecting books I've read for oh
so many years, I was beginning
to feel I could not keep another one in my home. I have an entire
library-full. Then I met Kindle and while I was thinking this might be
an expensive nothing gadget, I just had to try it. For me, it is the
best invention since the cell phone. No muss, no fuss. It is
lightweight, ergonomically correct. Kindle is fast, sends books to my
Kindle reader as I shop for them online through the interesting
application of wireless technology. It is small, you can increase the
text size. It fits in my tote, has a great lightweight cover that can
be turned back and held in place for comfortable reading when
traveling, and i keep a small pin attached to the inner cover for those
rare occasions when my Kindle freezes up.
The keyboard is an easy to use qwerty for the reader to make
notes and references to ideas or comments. All I want to know is when
is Amazon going to make a Kindle-type device for we journalists who are
losing room at home for all of our journals? One more point: add a sd
storage card for lots of space for your "stuff." Thank you,
Amazon.
I have been using my Kindle
for about 6 weeks and I must say that it
took me only a few hours to totally fall in love with it. I curl up in
my lounge chair with some hot tea next to me and get lost in a world of
reading. The size is very appropriate for reading and I can read with
only one hand since I use a thumb to press the next page button. This
leaves my other hand free to sip my tea or pet the

Subscription content delivered while I was sleeping. Another bad habit
in the making - I stayed in bed and simply turned on the Kindle and was
able to read my morning paper without setting foot outside. I
love my Kindle. I keep it nearby at all times and I am finally
getting a chance to catch up on some reading since I have a whole
collection with me whenever I get a few minutes to myself.

I usually
read about 2-3 books at a time, and never leave home w/out a
book. This is SO nice because it holds roughly 200 books so I can pick
out whatever book I feel like reading at the time w/out having to tote
them all around. The size is wonderful, fits great in my purse and is
comfortable to hold in my hand. I read sitting up, standing up and
lying down and w/this, my fingers and hands never get tired of holding
a thick or bulky book or flipping the pages.

I am so glad I bought my Kindle. The best part about it for me is being completely comfortable while reading. I've also subscribed to a couple of blogs and today bought my first magazine and they are just as nice to read on the Kindle as books are. I hope more and more magazines will become available for the Kindle because it will be great to not have to fill my recycling bin with them all the time, plus it's nice to actually read the magazine instead of just flipping through, looking at the pictures.
